ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Police in Anne Arundel County say they believe a woman whose body was found in a river near Annapolis took her own life.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said Wednesday that evidence suggests the woman's death was a suicide. The woman's body was found in the South River near Harness Creek on Memorial Day.

Police did not identify the woman.

The final cause and manner of death still has to be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
