Winter Weather Advisory as Two Schools Close Early

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory f0r northern Delmarva that should be in effect until 4 p.m.

Today

This afternoon it should be cloudy with a 40 percent chance of snow flurries. Otherwise expect the highs to reach the upper 30’s with southeast winds of 5 mph.

Tonight it should be partly cloudy with lows in the mid 20’s. Expect northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday

Tomorrow it should be windy and cold. Expect partly cloudy skies with some sun. Otherwise the highs should reach the lower 30’s before falling back into the lower 20’s by the afternoon. Expect west winds of 15 to 25 mph before turning northwest and picking up to 30 mph in the afternoon. There should also be gusts that could reach as high as 45 mph.

Tomorrow night it should be partly cloudy as well as windy and cold. The lows could drop to 30 degrees. Also expect northwest winds of 25 to 30 mph. Those should decrease after midnight to 25 mph. Meanwhile, expect some gusts that could reach 40 mph. The wind child values could drop to 4 below.

School Closings:

Caroline County Schools are closing two hours early with no evening events, while the Kent County, Maryland, schools are closing one hour early with no after-school activities.
