Winter Storm Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Accomack County and a winter advisory for Somerset, Wicomico, Worcester and Sussex counties for tonight through Wednesday morning.

The heaviest snow fall is expected in southern Worcester and Somerset Counties and all of Accomack County in Virginia with an expected 6 inches of snow.

In Delaware Sussex County is expected to get 2-to-4 inches of snow beginning at around 5 p.m. tonight…through early Wednesday.  

The heaviest snow in Sussex Couty is expected in the southern and eastern section.

Meanwhile, southern Kent and Northern Sussex Counties should get 1-to-2 inches.

Motorists are being advised to be cautious because the roadways could be slippery.  

And Delmarva Power is asking customers to conserve energy from 6a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5.p.m. to 9 p.m.
