Wilmington Council Member Survives Federal Probe

In Wilmington Councilman at-large Michael Brown will be allowed to seek re-election.

That’s word from federal officials who looked into a complaints that his campaign had violated the Hatch Act, which bars workers from running for an office that is connected to federal funding.

The lone Republican on the council works for Connections Community Support Program.

That’s a nonprofit that provides housing, health care and employment services which gets millions of dollars
