Wicomico Counth Sheriff's Uniforms Win Award

The uniforms of the Wicomico County Sheriffs got a tip of the hat this year.

The Department won the North-American Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors’ 2013 Best Dressed Public Safety Awards in the Sheriff’s Office category.

Sheriff Mike Lewis changed the uniforms after being elected in 2006.l

He turned the uniforms gray and black.

The Salisbury Daily Times report that Richard Lerman, president and CEO of the Association, saidthat there were around 235 entries for all categories.

Among the criteria is the use of innovative fabric and color and having the uniforms that allow law enforcement to do their jobs.
