Wallops Sounding Rocket Set for Launch Tomorrow Morning

NASA

NASA is set to send a Sounding Rocket up early tomorrow morning lighting up the skies with luminescent clouds from the Wallops Flight Facility.

The launch is set for the 4 o’clock hour carrying ten canisters 6 to 12 miles high with a payload of around 670 pounds.

The canisters will release blue-green and red vapor tracers that will reach anywhere from 96 to 124 miles above the earth.

This will allow scientists to track particle motions in space.

The experiment is expected to be visible to those living along the mid-Altantic coast from New York to North Carolina.
