If you want to get a good look at this month’s super lunar eclipse the NASA Wallops Flight Facility is offering to give the public a chance to see the celestial event.
In conjunction with the Delmarva Space Sciences Foundation the space port will host a viewing of this rare event on Sunday September 27.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that it will be held at the Center’s Auditorium at around 8 p.m. with telescopes and binoculars to view the eclipse starting at 9:30 p.m.
The phenomenon is taking place when the moon is slightly closer to the Earth making the image of the lunar body much larger than normal.
