Virginia Governor To Deliver Rhetorical "Red Meat" at GOP Convention

Va. Gov. Bob McDonnell and Cong. Paul Ryan, facebook.com

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Gov. Bob McDonnell is planning a speech that offers the crimson red meat to hungry conservatives attending the Republican National Convention in Tampa.

McDonnell's speech Tuesday night will reprise familiar Republican attacks on Democratic President Barack Obama, notably his "you didn't build that" comment from a July speech in Roanoke.

In excerpts of the evening speech released by the convention, McDonnell poses a choice between "the status quo of an entitlement society, or dynamic change to an opportunity society."

Small businesses don't come out of Washington pre-fabbed on flatbed trucks, the text says.
