Virginia Gets Federal Funds After Disaster Declaration

Don Rush

Virginia got White House approval for a declaration of disaster which will provide supplemental aid to the state.

January’s snow storm struck the commonwealth hard and the federal funds will go toward repairing and replacing infrastructure.

WBOC reports that twenty counties and five cities were particularly hard hit by the storm.

Meanwhile, Maryland got approval for a disaster declaration last week while Delaware is still awaiting a response to its request.
