Video of Racial Student Violence at Stephen Decatur High

Stephen Decatur High School Website

A racist Instagram post apparently was part of a larger problem for Stephen Decatur High School.

The Salisbury Daily Times has obtained video of a fight that occurred on January 21st between white and black students in a hallway at dismissal time.

The newspaper says an anonymous source, who provided the video, said that the post started because someone was jumped during school.

The Daily Times said it is not identifying the student who is the source because of the volatility of emotions at Decatur.

The paper reports that racial slurs can be heard on the cell phone video as two black students and a white Stephen Decatur junior tussled while a cluster of people surrounded the fight.

The paper says there was a second fight captured by cell phone that involved a black student and a white student in a McDonald’s parking lot in Berlin.
