UMES Boulevard Round About Considered

UMES Boulevard umes,edu

The Somerset County Sanitary District is expected to announce a date to consider creating a roundabout and laying out a sidewalk project at UMES Boulevard which would link both sides of Somerset Avenue south to Mount Vernon Road.

The State Highway Administration said that the project would require the District to relocate some of the water and sewer lines in the area.

The Sanitary District would have to pay for relocating the lines in the area.

And this would affect about 40 residents who would have to bear the expense.

State officials want the Sanitary District to pay for the engineering which is expected to cost around $25-thousand.
