Tyaskin Church Fire Ruled Arson

facebookk

A fire at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church is being called arson.

There was no one inside the centuries old church in Tyaskin where an accelerant was used on the outside of the building.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the damage is estimated at around $12-hundred.

Someone passing by spotted the damage and called authorities.

Reverend Dennis Morgan at St.Mary’s told the paper that the damage was minimal and limited to the outside of the building.

The church was established in 1798.
