RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia has produced two mega winners in the latest Mega Millions multistate lottery drawing.

The Virginia Lottery says someone bought a Mega Millions ticket in Warrenton that won $5 million in Friday's drawing. Another ticket sold in Salem won $1 million.

The Lottery says in a news release that both tickets matched the first five numbers but missed the Mega Millions number.

The winning numbers were 1-40-42-56-62 and the Mega Ball number was 2.

The person who bought the winning ticket in Warrenton added the Megaplier for an extra $1. That boosted the prize to $5 million because the Megaplier number for Friday's drawing was 5.

The winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes.
