It was an embarrassing tweet for Delaware Governor Jack Markell.
He posted it on his Twitter account yesterday promoting an education event.
But it was linked to a suggestive photo of an Estonian model.
The Wilmington News Journal reports either Markell or someone tweeting on his behalf sent out the post during an event at Warner Elementary school in Wilmington at around 10:30 a.m.
It was part of Markell’s announcement that would direct $5 million to low-performing schools.
17 minutes after the posting the photo was deleted.
The photo itself showed a woman wearing a revealing top with leather straps around her neck and chest promoting herself as a hair and makeup artist.
Markell quickly apologized for the photo.
