Traffic Stop in Salisbury Leaves Fugitive Shot to Death by Police

One person is dead after a shooting during a police traffic stop on North Salisbury Boulevard yesterday afternoon.

Maryland State Police say an armed man with two handguns was fatally wounded after police stopped his far in Wicomico County.

He was wanted by Delaware police.

The 25 year old man has not been identified by police pending notification of his family.

He was wanted by the Wilmington Police Department on handgun charges.

After being stopped the fugitive was warned not to put his hands in his pockets.

Police say he told the officer one of them was going to die resulting in shots being fired.
