Fruitland will be the site of a town hall for a company seeking to open a medical marijuana facility in Wicomico County.
Biocannatix LLC is hosting the meeting tomorrow for its plans to put a location near Hebron that would grow, process and dispense the medical marijuana.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that to back up its plans the company is bringing in Katherine Grimm an industry consultant along with Delegate Cheryl Glenn from Baltimore.
It is not the only company vying for a spot in Wicomico County.
Two years ago the state legislature initiated a pilot program for medical marijuana and after a lack of interest eased the rules allowing for 15 applications.
