Thanksgiving Gas Prices Down Below $3 in Delaware

Don Rush

Gas prices look good for the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says that a gallon of gas is averaging $2.85 in Delaware today.

That’s compared to a year ago when it was $3.28 a gallon.

In the First State an estimated 126-thousand people will be traveling 50 miles or more.

That’s up by 4 percent from last year.

And AAA says that 90 percent of them are expected to be on the roads.

Another 7 percent will be flying.

Meanwhile, in Delaware lane closures on major highways such as Delaware Route 1, I-95 and U.S. 202 will be lifted beginning at noon on Wednesday and will resume at midnight on November 30th.
