SymphonyCast and the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival

Two new programs are coming to WSCL 89.5's classical music lineup.

On Tuesday, April 4th at 7PM, SymphonyCast from American Public Media begins. SymphonyCast features full-length concerts recently performed by the best orchestras from around the world. This two-hour weekly program showcases material drawn from Europe's premier symphony orchestras and festivals (including several weeks each summer at the BBC Proms), along with U.S. orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Houston Symphony, and Minnesota Orchestra.

This Saturday, April 1st at noon, The Santa Fe Chamber music Series from WFMT returns. This 13-week radio series brings your listeners such gems such as the Beethoven String Quartet No. 12 in E-flat Major, Op. 127, and the Haydn String Quartet No. 59 in G Minor, Op. 74, No. 3; the delicious Trout Quintet in A Major by Franz Schubert; and Tchaikovsky’s fond evocation, Souvenir de Florence, Op. 70.
