CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard says one person is dead after two teenagers in swimming trunks jumped from the Malkus Memorial Bridge into the Choptank River in Cambridge.

Officials say a passer-by reported the two jumping from the bridge about 5 p.m. Wednesday and said one did not resurface.

A crew on a Cambridge fireboat rescued one from the water. Dive crews from Dorchester County recovered the body of the second swimmer.
