Sulfur Dioxide Emission at Delaware City Refinery

There is a report that less than 100 pounds of sulfur dioxide has been released into the air from the Delaware City Refinery.

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control says the release took place on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the morning.

Sulfur dioxide considered tobe hazardous by the EPA and the incident is being investigated by state officials.
