Storm Leaves Little Damage on Delmarva
Despite a tornado warning yesterday on the Eastern Shore and Delaware there were no reports of widespread damage.
But officials said there was flooding in parts of Maryland due to the heavy rains.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that storms knocked down tree limbs as heavy rains hit the peninsula.
The Maryland Transportation Authority imposed wind restrictions at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge for vehicles such as house and empty box trailers as well as motor homes.
Authorities do not expect the Bay Bridge to allow two-way traffic on the westbound span.
Meanwhile, Delmarva Power says that there were thousands of outages after the storms.
The Great Frederick Fair in Frederick was also cancelled for the rest of Tuesday.
