Storm and Coastal Flood Warnings for Delmarva

freepclipart.pictures.net

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Winter storm and coastal flood warnings have been issued for Delaware as a winter storm bears down on the mid-Atlantic region.

The storm warning took effect at midnight and remains in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

On the mid-shore this includes Kent Counties in both Maryland and Delaware as well as Queen Annie’s County.

The coastal flood warning is in effect through noon today, with moderate to minor flooding during this morning's high tide.

Officials say existing damage from the winter storm a couple of weeks ago leaves Delaware's coast vulnerable to more damage.

Meanwhile, forecasters say this storm could bring accumulations of four to eight inches in Delaware, with snow, possibly heavy at times, through Tuesday night.

Officials are warning that road conditions could be hazardous.
