Snow Hill has been designated a Maryland Main Street Affiliate.
The designation will move the town toward making it eligible for revitalization grants.
Michael Day, Snow Hills Economic Development Coordinator, says that the program will make it a top pick when it applies for financial grants.
Snow Hill is one of five towns that have been given the affiliate designation.
Day told WBOC that it will take around two years before applying to the Main Street program.
