Smoking Ban Considered by Ocean City

Don Rush

A smoking ban is back on the agenda of the Ocean City Town Council’s work session.

Under discussion at tomorrow’s meeting is whether to regulate, eliminate or allow smoking on the beach and boardwalk.

Under the recommendations from the planning and zoning committee fines would range from $25 to as much as $1-thousand.

Creating designated smoking zones at each street end and along the boardwalk could cost the resort as much as $20-thousand.
