Shotgun Deer Hunting Season Opens in Delaware

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware's shotgun deer hunting season is about to begin.

Natural resources officials say the season will start Friday and end Nov. 17. The season will resume for a week in January.

Muzzleloaders may be used during these dates, and may be equipped with scopes.

Hunters must register deer within 24 hours of harvest. Hunters can register a deer by calling 1-855-DEL-HUNT (1-855-335-4868) or at http://www.dnrec.delaware.gov/delhunt.
