Shooting in Annapolis Leaves Man Dead, Woman Wounded

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County police say a man is dead and a woman is in critical condition following an early morning shooting inside an Annapolis business.

Police were called to the 300 block of Harry S. Truman Parkway about 1 a.m. Monday morning. That's where they found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds.

Police identified the woman as 43-year-old Tracy Lynn West of Crownsville and the man as her estranged husband, 50-year-old Calvin Cofield of Bowie.

Investigators believe Cofield went to West's workplace and tried to kill her. Then he shot and killed himself. Police say the shooting was an isolated domestic incident.
