LURAY, Va. (AP) - The Delaware North Company is giving a facelift to facilities it operates at Shenandoah National Park.

The park says Delaware North has made significant improvements at lodging and other facilities.

Improvements include renovating 46 guest rooms in the Skyland Resort area to include accessible routes between the rooms and the lower parking area. Public restrooms were renovated and a "grab-and-go" food counter was added to the lobby area.

Delaware North also renovated public restrooms and two fully accessible rooms at Big Meadows Lodge. A new deck and roof were installed at Loft Mountain Wayside.

More improvements are planned this year and in 2016. They include renovating the Big Meadows historic cottages and upgrades to the Skyland Conference Center and the Big Meadows Lodge meeting room.
