creative commons

Worcester County will be hold a conference on school safety tomorrow in the wake of the Florida shooting that left 17 dead.

It’s called the Maryland Safe Schools Initiative 2018 conference and will be held at Worcester Technical High School.

The conference comes as a joint effort of the Maryland Center for School Safety, Safe and Sound Schools and Worcester County Public Schools.

The morning session will deal with first-hand accounts of such shootings and how to recover from them while the afternoon will focus on how to respond to such crises.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the conference is not open to the public due to limited seating but an email has been sent out to those most effected ranging from school staff and law enforcement to emergency services personnel and local government officials.
