Salisbury University's TETC Building Renamed Conway Hall

university website

There’s a large building that stands at the corner of Route 13 and West College Avenue which houses the education programs at Salisbury University.

This week it was dedicated to the man who for years represented the area…in the Maryland House of Delegates.

University President Janet Dudley Eshbach was there to formally make the announcement changing its name to the Conway Hall

Conway was a major player in Annapolis and chaired the Appropriations Committee generating millions of dollars for the educational institutions on the Eastern Shore.

During a ceremony earlier this week local Democrat said that as a former educator himself and Salisbury University being his Alma Mater he was there he was there to not only celebrate the building but the educational programs as well.

He said that he tried to boost the educational facilities in the rural areas and especially in the region with such institutions as Salisbury University and the Maryland University of the Eastern Shore.

Conway was instrumental in providing funding for projects ranging from Perdue Hall and the Guerrieri Academic commons to the Ward Museum and Delmarva Public Radio.
