Salisbury University remains closed Friday, March 6

Salisbury University remains closed Friday, March 6, due to inclement weather. Essential personnel not on approved leave should report to work.

SU Police will remain open 24 hours. For medical emergencies, please call 911.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), temperatures are predicted to be in the twenties on Friday, with a high near 30 degrees. North winds from 6-9 MPH are expected with wind chill as low as zero. Please dress warmly if you must go out and exert extra care while walking because of hazardous conditions.

The NWS also encourages motorists to travel with caution due to an expected accumulation of snow and ice, especially on bridges, overpasses and secondary roads.

The campus community is urged to periodically check the SU website and email, and SU Facebook and Twitter pages, and monitor local media for information including reopening announcements.

Please note: The Maryland Collegiate Honors Council Conference, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, is cancelled.
