Salisbury Riverwalk Moving Closer to being Finished

murtech

A $1.5 million refurbishment of the Salisbury Riverwalk is head to completion

It’s taken a year and a half to get there and it is seen as part of Mayor Jake Day’s plans to revitalize the downtown area.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the Riverwalk will now look like a wooden walk with aluminum railings.

Day told the paper that the old tiebacks which held the bulkhead together failed causing the surface to buckle.

The Riverwalk was constructed in 1977.
