A second lawsuit has been filed against the Salisbury Police and Officer Justin Aita within a week.

The suit was filed by Alexandra Francois and Nathalie Francois whose son 15-year old Renaldo Mesadieu was involved in an altercation with Aita.

The suit was filed on  Friday and dates back to an incident that occurred on August 11th.

Mayor Jim Ireton declined to comment on the case.

The incident involved the officer pulling over the son who was riding a bicycle and was told to move back the sidewalk.

Mesadieu gave the officer a false name and was being put into handcuffs when he ran.

The son says he was finally handcuffed but then beaten.

In Aita’s account the officer says he pulled the son over for riding without a head lamp and wearing headphones.

After the Mesadieu tried to run away and was caught Aita says that Mesadieu struggled with him as he put handcuffs on him.

Aita says that Alexandra Francois who was driving by tried to pull the officer off of Maseadieu.

She faces second degree assault among other charges.

Another recent case involving Aita was filed by three young men who allege that the officer used excessive force near an underground tunnel across from Salisbury University.
