Salisbury Flea Market Parking Lot Eyed by Developers

On the weekends it is not unusual to see venders selling their wares at the flea market in Salisbury in the parking lot at Route 13 and Church Street.

But that may be no more.

WBOC reports that developers are eyeing the property for commercial and mixed-use development.

Mayor Jake Day told the television station that it will take several years for such development to take place and will give the city time to plan for the flea market.

He said the city will ensure that development of the property fits into the Downtown Main Street Master Plan.
