"Saggy Pants" Could Be Banned on OC Boardwalk

Don Rush

A dress code could be coming to Ocean City.

The town leaders will take up such a code for the boardwalk…which is aimed at doing away with the “saggy pants” look.

Ocean City resident Robert Phillips told WBOC that it might be a good idea because there are a lot of children who don’t need to see someone’s underwear.

The Town Council palns to discuss its options at the next council session on July 9th.

While there are many who might favor such rule Ocean City resident Sawn Ferin told the station that he doesn’t like it noting that saggy pants have been around for as long as he could remember.

Meanwhile, Wildwood, New Jersey will impose a $25 fine when its dress code takes effect next month.
