Royal Farms Pulls Email on Ravens Apparel Ban

Royal Farms Website

Royal Farms has withdrawn its email that barred Maryland employees from wearing Ravens jerseys.

The ban followed members of the Baltimore team taking one knee during the national anthem in solidarity with former Forty-Niner quarterback Colin Kaepernick who was protesting the treatment of African Americans by police.

The Royal Farms Marketing project manager Shelby Kemp said that the company had erroneously indicated that some that some employees had to stop wearing the team’s apparel.

Kemp said that company rules specified that employees were to wear a Royal Farms uniform but that on Friday’s non-management employees can wear Raves jerseys.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the three Royal Farms in Salisbury had not received the email on the ban.
