ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - The Republican Governors Association is going to run television ads for Larry Hogan in the Maryland governor's race.

Jon Thompson, a spokesman for the RGA, confirmed the ad buy Thursday.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who chairs the group, has attended two fundraisers for Hogan in Maryland.

Hogan is running against Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown. The Democratic Governors Association has run ads for Brown.

A poll by The Washington Post earlier this month had Brown leading by 9 percentage points.
