There will be a town hall meeting in Rehoboth Beach on the outfall project that will allow treated wastewater to be released into the ocean.
It’s set for September 16th at 1 p.m. at the Rehoboth Fire Company on Rehoboth Avenue.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that contractors and project engineers will be on hand with a presentation for the public.
Around $38 million has been awarded for four projects and is in response to a court order that the city stop dumping wastewater into the Lewes Rehoboth Canal near the mouth of Rehoboth Bay.
The resort has budgeted $52 million for the project.
Work is expected to begin in October of next year.
