A federal government lawsuit involving three of Red Lobster’s female employees in Salisbury has been settled.
The sexual harassment case has resulted in Red Lobster paying out $160-thousand and providing a program for its employees on anti-discrimination laws.
In addition, the settlement must be posted.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the 2013 legal action involved allegations that the culinary manager oversaw a sexually hostile and offensive work environment stretching back eight years ago.
The paper reports that his actions ranged from groping female employees and sexual advances to comments that included sexual fantasies.
The manager was fired five years ago after the company knew of the allegations.
