The Rain's Coming

National Weather Service

There could be as much as 11 inches of rain to hit the  Delmarva peninsula over the next week as Hurricane Joaquin heads northward.

The National Weather Service says there could be coastal flooding along with heavy rains.

For the lower part of the Maryland Eastern Shore the Salisbury Daily Times reports that forecasters say to expect heavy rain Thursday through Friday night.

The paper also reports that forecasters believe Joaquin could be off the Delmarva coast by 2 a.m. on Monday morning.
