A Quiet College Beach Week in Ocean City

Don Rush

Despite the expectation of a large number of college students during College Beach Week Ocean City remained quiet for the most part this week past weekend.

There were more Ocean City Police and some Maryland State Troopers on hand along the boardwalk just in case.

Ocean City police told the Salisbury Daily Times that there were very few criminal incidents.

They added the arrests that did take place were for minor infractions.

This stands in contrast to last year when there were 12 arrests and a group of around 200 people began throwing bottles and assaulting officers.
