Public to be Heard on Fate of Delmarva Public Radio

Radio, 123rf.com

This evening the public will be heard on the fate of Delmarva Public Radio at 6:30 Wic0mico Room in the Guerrieri Center tonight.

The Salisbury University Foundation, which holds the license for WSCL/WSDL, has raised the prospects of dramatically scaling back the broadcast schedule.

One recommendation by a consultant’s report would broadcast satellite produced classical music on WSCL and would replace NPR News Talk on WSDL with a Triple A music format.

Recent financial difficulties have been cited by the Foundation, which oversees the financial health of the stations.
