OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - Ocean City Police say the death of a Delaware man while he was in custody remains under investigation.

The Daily Times of Salisbury reports that 37-year-old Jerome Weston of Greenwood, Delaware, was arrested Aug. 7 after a traffic stop. Police say a search of Weston's car turned up 150 grams of heroin in 1,500 bags.

Officers say Weston was taken to department headquarters. Investigators say Weston complained of difficulty breathing and said he had swallowed cocaine.

Police say Weston had a seizure and went into cardiac arrest when paramedics arrived. He died at a local hospital.

Maryland State Police say the preliminary autopsy on Weston found no evidence of external injuries. Troopers say the medical examiner found several pieces of latex and a substance believed to be cocaine.
