Princess Anne LED Sign Dispute In Talks

Princess Anne officials and the fire department are finally talking about the fire company’s proposal for an LED sign.

Last week both sides got together with a facilitator.

Earlier this year the fire department filed an application for the sign but that was rejected by the town because the municipality did not have any specific regulations for LED’s.

The town then imposed a 120-day moratorium on signs to give it time to research and review the issue.

Steven Smith with the fire department’s sign committee told the Salisbury Daily Times that some of the firefighters were upset because they felt they had been shut out.

Town Commissioner Mark Thomas who was not in office when the moratorium was imposed said was favorably inclined to approve the new sign.
