Pope Francis and the Catholic Church

creative commosn

With the ascension of Pope Francis to the papacy, many Catholics detect a new wind blowing through the Vatican - a new openness not seen in many years. But, what will it mean for the Catholic church and will it last? Noted author Gary Wills has recently written a new book, "The Future of the Catholic Church with Pope Francis." He tells Delmarva Public Radio's Don Rush that he sees the church already being dramatically changed -- especially by the Catholic parishioners themselves.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
