Plans to Expand Cambridge Downtown Development

There has been a major effort to revitalize downtown Cambridge with more improvements on the way.

The Cambridge Venture Capital Fund LLC is seen as a way to continue that expansion.

Fund Partner Brett Summers that his company wants to get six or seven new businesses into the downtown area.

The aim, he said, is to get visitors to see it as a vibrant restaurant retail district.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that local residents have donated $250-thousand to bring more business to the vacant storefronts.

Local businesses have come up with another $50 thousand to open a new business on the blocks of Poplar, High or Race Street.

Cambridge Mainstreet Executive Director Mari Stanley says…the plan will be a big boost to the town’s financial vitality.
