Pellet Gun Incident Injures Two Students at Warner Elementary School

Red Clay Consolidated School District

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - School officials say two Warner Elementary School students were shot with a pellet gun, but were not injured.

The Wilmington News Journalreports that Red Clay Consolidated School District spokeswoman Pati Nash says one student was hit on the thumb and another was grazed in the neck area.

Nash did not say whether any students were disciplined, but she says officials are following the student code of conduct.

Since the incident didn't involve a large number of students, she says only the parents of those involved were notified.

Nash says a report was filed with the Wilmington police department. She says the school is still investigating and will update parents.
