Wicomico County Sheriffs are investigating the death of a Parkside High student who died Sunday evening after collapsing on the campus of Salisbury University.

Authorities say that 16 year old Cameron Dashiell had been bicycling with two friends near the campus at the time.

Edwin Lashley, chief of the Salisbury University Campus Police, told the Salisbury Daily Times that he called the Sheriff’s department for assistance.

His body was taken to the Maryland State Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Salisbury Jim Ireton told the Daily Times that the city will be requesting information and surveillance footage from the University.
