17-year old Jocori Scarborough is out on bail after being charged with rape and assault counts involving a 15-year old student on the campus of Parkside High School in Salisbury.

Scarborough also a student at the school is being charged as an adult.

WBOC reports that he was released yesterday on a $100-thousand bond.

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s office says that the incident occurred on Monday at around 8 a.m after classes had already gotten underway.

The school’s Resource Deputy told the Wicomico County Bureau of Investigation on Monday that a 15 year old female student had reported a sexual assault to the school administration.

According to court documents Scarborough made sexual advances toward the young woman, grabbed her arm and pulled her into a hallway refusing to let go.

The court documents say that despite telling him no and trying to fight him off Scarborough forced sexual intercourse.

Dr. John Frederickson, superintendent of Wicomico County Public School District, told WMDT that there should be more information from surveillance footage from the school, from the bus or from the district’s tip lines.

Meanwhile, he said, the school’s attentions have turned taking care of the young woman.

Scarborough is reportedly being charged as an adult with first and second degree rape among other charges.

WMDT reports that on his Facebook page Scarborough was a member of DDE, a group behind a controversial music video which includes Salisbury teens and young adults displaying weapons and threatening lyrics.
