OC Taxis Want Fare Hike

NIte Club Taxi website

Ocean City cab drivers want a raise.

Actually, they would like to increase the per miles rate they charge to their customers from $2.50 per mile to $3.00 per miles.

Two Ocean City based taxi companies Nite Club Taxi and American Veterans Taxi made the request.

They noted that the cab driver must split his take with the company on a 50/50 basis while paying for their own gas.

The taxi companies say that hiking the rate would allow them to hire and keep quality drivers.

The Police Commission will review an analysis of their costs over the last four yearsat a March 10th meeting.
