OC Reverses Decision on New Paid Parking

Don Rush

Ocean City has decided to reverse itself and is getting rid of additional paid parking on the north side of the town.

Condo owner and board member Mac Belcom lobbied against the new paid parking.

WBOC reports that officials eventually heard from up 16-hundred people as Belcom visited neighbors and attended just about every council meeting to voice his opposition.

With the decision resort leaders are now trying to figure out how to fill the budget gap left by the loss of the parking revenue.
